Mr. Yee Fay “Frank” Cheung was born on June 26th, 1930 in Canton, China. Got primary school education. Then for a short time he was a machine apprentice/operator when he was a young boy. He went on to and completed high school. At age of 23, he started to work for the Board of Education in the district of Kai Ping, China for about 21 years. In 1974, he and son Kim moved to live in Hong Kong until he immigrated to Canada in 1979. He worked for McCoy Brothers as a machine operator for 14 years. Since retirement in 1993, he actively joined social and community dancing and singing groups for many years until his dementia illness got a hold of him. He moved back and lived with son and family in 2015, then he was moved to Jasper Place Care Home in February 2017 when his illness was no longer manageable at home. He passed away on October 7th, 2017 in the care home.
He is survived by his wife, Yick–semicolon– 3 children, Karen (Steve), Kim (Anne) and Linda (Wing)–semicolon– 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister and family in Hong Kong and USA.
He will be forever missed and loved by his family!
