Peacefully on Monday May 18, 2015 Bill passed away at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton. Bill grew up on a farm outside Austin, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg where he attended the University of Winnipeg. He later moved to Edmonton and eventually settled in St. Albert. Bill worked as a musician and a carpenter, and was very proud of the work he did with, and for, the Alberta Regional Council of Carpenters and Allied Workers.
Bill was an archaeologist, musician, singer, songwriter, carpenter and a great debater. He took an avid interest in politics and loved to travel, especially on a good road trip. His intelligence, compassion and beautiful voice will be missed by all who knew him.
Friends and family will join in a celebration of Bill’s life at a future date. The family is arranging to dedicate a bench in his memory at Buena Vista dog park in Edmonton. If you would like to contribute to this memorial, please contact the family.
