On Friday, June 26, 2015 William “Bill” Murray of Edmonton passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.
Bill is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Olga–semicolon– children, Sherrill (Greg) Flett, Corrinne Murray, Colleen Murray Schultz, Todd (Jennifer) Murray, Darren (Judy) Murray, Kerryl (Dan) Padgett, and Darryl (Sandie) Murray–semicolon– grandchildren, Ammanda (Damen), Brennan, Kacey, Tayler (Mandy), Jesse, Braedyn, Kyle, Kerstyn, Josh, Maddie, Cian and Brielle–semicolon– great-grandchildren, Carys and Kingston–semicolon– siblings, Jean (Elmer) Brige, Jane Murray, Peggy Ferro, Pat (Don) Farris, and Jerry (Elaine) Murray–semicolon– numerous nieces, nephews and family.
Bill is predeceased by his parents, Martin and Agnes Murray–semicolon– siblings, Robert, Jack and Maureen.
Bill had a zest for life, and upon being diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer in 2009 with a poor prognosis, he was determined to make the best of the remainder of his days. He defied all odds and was blessed with six quality years. We are so grateful for the extra time we had with him.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2015 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 Street, Edmonton.
