Bill Goodwin, formerly of Mewatha Beach (Skeleton Lake), Edmonton/ Fort Saskatchewan, and Bow Island, AB, passed into peace at the age of 89 years.
Bill was predeceased by his wife and beloved partner of 67 years, Rollande, who passed away August 23, 2017.
Bill leaves behind their children: Audrey (Remi), Bill (Jan), Ron (Linda), Vince (Barb), Denise (Bryan), Ramonde (Mike), John (Debbie) and Faye–semicolon– as well as 19 grandchildren: Micheline (Tony), Raymond (Rachelle), Chantel, Chris (Linda), Lindsay (Marc), Vincent (Aysha), Spencer, Ty, Max, Selena, Kevin, Justin, Jessalyn (Dion), Nick (Amanda), Virginia, Thomas, Savannah, Jacqueline and James–semicolon– 11 great grandchildren: Wade, Dylan, Rayal, Sage, Lily, Denver, Jade, Violet, Declan, Ollin, and Jeff Jr.
He also leaves his sister, Carol (David)–semicolon– and brother, Jim.
Early in their marriage, Bill and his wife Rollande moved to Bow Island (1953), where the young family grew and established deep and lasting roots. Bill was very active in several service clubs: curling, golfing and youth baseball, as well as the school board that established St. Michael’s School.
