It is with great sadness we announce the passing of William “Bill” Gillis on Friday, October 17, 2014 as the result of living with Parkinson’s Disease for several years.
Bill was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, coming to Edmonton as a young adult, where he has enjoyed a rewarding life.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife of 59 years, Edythe–semicolon– five children: Barbara (Doug) Boudreault, Cathy (Conrad) Clement, Michael (Sandy), Darcy (Kelly), and Trish (Pat) Devlin–semicolon– eleven grandchildren: Lisa and Matthew Boudreault, Danielle and Jonathan Clement, Reid, Lauren and Morgan Gillis, Mitchell and Nicole Gillis, and Brooklyn and Carson Devlin–semicolon– two great-grandchildren, Henry and Nora Boudreault. Bill also leaves a sister, Joanne Iveson–semicolon– and sister-in-law, Beth Siegel.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 9031 – 95 Avenue, Edmonton on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
