It is with great sadness that the family of William “Bill” Johnstone announce his passing on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the age of 91 years.
Bill is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Cheryl (Sam)–semicolon– four grandchildren, Kara (Braden), Noel (Debbie), Jess (Jon), and Christian–semicolon– and seven great grandchildren, Julia, Paige, Macy, Owen, Matthew, Oliver and Abby. He will also be remembered by his sister, Mary–semicolon– his nieces, nephews and extended family–semicolon– many dear friends–semicolon– and his special canine companion, Lady.
Bill was predeceased by his loving wife and best friend, Dee–semicolon– two sons, Pat and Glen–semicolon– brothers, Lawrence, Patrick, and Milton–semicolon– and sister, Vivian.
Bill is recognized for having served in World War II with the 1st Battalion Canadian Scottish Regiment.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 12:00 p.m., at the Assumption Catholic Church, 9040-95 Avenue, Edmonton, with interment to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery.
