Bill will be greatly missed and forever remembered by his family–semicolon– his children Dannie and Arlene Fischer, Diane and Dale Wigley, Deniece and Joe Golden, Noreen and Bob Walkom. Cherished by his grandchildren Johanna, Gerald, Wilson and Nolan Elliot, Allan, Barbara, Kiera and Matthew Fischer, Carolyn, David, Kaitlyn, Cameron and Shaelyn Coady, Kevin, Allyson and Spencer Wigley, Kelly, Jon, Jaron, Mason and Myah Robb, Connie, Darrel, Damon, Taylor, Devin, Josh and Ryan Werzen-Eaton, Trevor Wigley, Willy, Katrina and Kayla Wigley, Joey, Pam, Cooper, James and Emma Golden, Michelle Golden, Denny, Lynn, Dusty and Duke Golden, Derek, Karyn and Isla Walkom, Michael, Kerri, Nicholas and Morgan Walkom and Cory Walkom.
He will also be sadly missed by sister-in-law Sis Fischer, brother-in-law Jim Loughran, many nieces and nephews who were so special to him, family, friends and all those that he was “Grandad” to.
He was predeceased by his true love Phyllis, son Ronnie, grandson Lance Wigley, grandson-in-law Scott Eaton, parents Matthew and Johanna Fischer, sisters Frances, Julia, Ruby and Mattie, and brothers Ernie, Leo and Allan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mayerthorpe Diamond Centre (4814 – 54 Street). Interment will follow in the Mayerthorpe Community Cemetery. Lunch will be served at the Mayerthorpe Diamond Centre following interment.
Bill’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at the Mayerthorpe Auxiliary Hospital for the excellent and compassionate care given to Bill and also for the kindness shown to his family over the past 6 years. Thank you to the Dr’s at the Mayerthorpe Health Care Centre, especially Dr. Jamal for the many years of special care provided.
