
It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Veronica on March 3, 2017.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Peter–semicolon– her 5 children–semicolon– 27 grandchildren 6 of them she raised herself–semicolon– 26 great grandchildren and one on the way–semicolon– 2 siblings and numerous family and friends.
She is predeceased by 4 children, 6 siblings, 1 grandchild, and 1 great-grandchild.
Veronica was an advocate in many capacities–semicolon– she sat on the board of the A.C.T.W, where she helped to preserve the rights of Treaty 6 women. She was also honored with an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Blue Quills University, where she taught on Native Studies Issues. She was also a very spiritual women in her traditional, spiritual, and cultural beliefs. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Wake service will take place on Monday March 6, 2017 at 4:00 pm at the Enoch Recreation Centre with a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday March 7, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Enoch Recreation Centre with burial to follow in the Enoch Cemetery.
