It is with a heavy heart the family announces Velma’s peaceful passing on April 8, 2015 at the age of 86 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Rosemary (Steve) Brand, Stephen (Terry) and Linda (Darcy) Ertman–semicolon– daughter-in-law, Barbara Pagel–semicolon– son-in-law, Dave Lachance–semicolon– grandchildren: Nicole (Dwayne) Shimshaw, Danielle (Stuart) Bromilow, Matthew (Gwynne) Pagel–semicolon– Heath (Jenn) Brand, Lucas Brand, Michael (Trina) Wordell, Cynthia (Brent) Vos, Melanie Fontaine, Richard (Alisha), Owen (Ashley), Daniel (Jamie) Ertman and Lindsay Ertman–semicolon– great grandchildren: Kaitlin, Carlie, Ethan, Brynn, Sydney, Carter, Jaesey Rae, Ella, Braelyn, Cole, Connor, Erica, Gemma, Mckenna and Logan–semicolon– sister, Lavina (Ron) Cooper–semicolon– brother, Gerald (Shirley) Delaney–semicolon– as well as nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Velma was predeceased by her son, Richard–semicolon– husband, Frederick–semicolon– daughter, Annamarie–semicolon– brothers, Phillip, Patrick, Dick and Michael–semicolon– and sister, Goldie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 2:00 pm at St. Joseph’s Basilica, 10044 – 113 Street, Edmonton. Cremation will follow and Velma’s urn will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery in London, ON.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Venta Care Centre for their warmth and compassion.
