It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Humphry. Mom passed away peacefully, in her favorite chair, reading a book and enjoying her beautiful view of the river valley.
Terry was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Wallace (Stew)–semicolon– her son, Jerry–semicolon– parents, Owen and Kathleen McGuire, brothers, Bud, Rod, Jim, Maurie, and Owen–semicolon– sisters, Kiern, Cath, Joan and Lorna.
Terry will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children, Barb (Marc), Jim (Amanda), Brian (Susan), Jerry’s wife Rosie, Joanne, David and Ron. She will be forever in the hearts of her grandchildren, Michael, Kathleen, Geoffrey, Colette, Matthew, Ryley, Whitney, Brittany, Chelsea, Colby, Erin, Adrian, Jordan, Darcie, Brayden and Brianna–semicolon– her great-grandchildren, Ethan, Matthew, Brayden, Marin, Norah, Claire, Andrew, Méline and Oliver. Also left to cherish her friendship and memory are sisters, Margie, Anne, Marie and Colleen–semicolon– as well as numerous friends young and old.
Terry graduated from the Edmonton General School of Nursing in 1948 and loved every moment she spent nursing. Terry co-owned and ran a small catering company with her sister Cath and later became a successful real-estate agent. Her first love and priority and where she found her greatest joy was always her family.
Special thanks to Dr. Nigel Flook, Melanie Ochitwa, and Dr. Jonathon Choy for the special care always extended to Terry. Terry always felt so safe in their hands.
A Celebration of Terry’s Life will be held on May 12, 2018. Details will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta, or CAMTA (www.camta.com).
