Sadly, we must say goodbye to Terry, who died at home, in the early hours of December 6, with Patricia, his wife and best friend, by his side. Terry had many health challenges in his later years, but his mind and his wit were as sharp as ever.
Terry was an avid sports fan, a writer, sailor, adventurer, and painter, He was clever, witty, well read, kind, and generous to a fault. When he had nothing left to give, he still gave his time, attention, and unconditional love. He had beautiful handwriting, a big heart, and took the time to tell his loved ones how much they meant to him.
Terry was predeceased by his mother Mary, father Jim–semicolon– brothers Gerry, Jack, and Dennis–semicolon– sister Patti Ashton–semicolon– parents-in-law Wally & Mandy Carter–semicolon– sister-in-law Pauline Young–semicolon– and son-in-law John Reid.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 yrs, Patricia–semicolon– son Max–semicolon– daughters Cathy (Slavo) Cech, Tracy (Grant) Berube, Darcy (Jason Bodnarek) Reid–semicolon– brothers Bud, Ross, Greg (Francine), Glen (Kelly), Murray Joe (Robert Clark)–semicolon– sisters Judy and Margaret (Gil) Plamondon, and their families–semicolon– beloved grandchildren Kyle (Samantha), Matthew (Meghan), Garett (Crystal) Berube–semicolon– Janelle (Joey) Reiter, Brady (Sarah Bell) and Casey Reid–semicolon– Paulina & Ivy Cech–semicolon– cherished great-grandchildren: Emery & Eli, Rylie & Johnny, River & Frances, and Isla–semicolon– and many dear relative and friends.
Special thanks to Dr. Fraser Brenneis, for his years of dedicated care, right out of medical school, and to Dr. Peter Bell, whose care and attention, right until Terry’s last day, was sincerely appreciated.
As per Terry’s wishes there will be no funeral. Cremation has taken place–semicolon– his ashes will be spread at sea, where his heart has always been.
Terry was a great guy, loved by many. He will be missed deeply, but his memory will be equally celebrated.
