After a long life’s journey Teodozja passed away peacefully at Eagle Ridge Hospital in Port Moody, B.C.. She is predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Bronislaw–semicolon– her parents–semicolon– and sibilings, Waclaw, Sefania, Karol and Roman. Our beautiful human being, the sweet soul who throughout her entire life carried the message of hope is no longer with us. Sharing the fate of millions in the tumultuous twentieth century Tosia was our true world traveler. From Druzbice in central Poland where she was born, to Polesie, to Siberia where she was deported, to Kazakhstan, to Ukraine, back to Poland, finally to Edmonton, Canada, and Coquitlam, B.C., she experienced the best and the worst this epoch could offer. She will be sorely missed by daughter, Jolanta (Andrzej)–semicolon– son, Janusz (Helena)–semicolon– grandson, Tomasz–semicolon– her siblings, Teresa and Zygmunt–semicolon– her many nieces, nephews, extended family in Poland, England and Sweden–semicolon– her many friends in Edmonton, and all those whose lives she touched.
A Prayer Service and Celebration of Tosia’s life will be held at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street, Edmonton on Friday August 12 at 8:00 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 11485 – 106 Street, Edmonton , with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
