Peacefully surrounded by his family, Stuart passed away on December 26, 2015 at the age of 67 after losing his battle with cancer.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Karen of 41 years–semicolon– daughters: Kendra and Amy (Jean) Laurent–semicolon– granddaughter, Penelope–semicolon– and siblings: Dave (Helga), Wayne (Bonnie), and Laurie–semicolon– as well as his nephews and nieces. Stuart was predeceased by his parents: George and Phyllis.
Born on July 5, 1948 in Creston, BC, he also lived in Cranbrook, Revelstoke and Kamloops before moving to Calgary in 1971. In 2015 he retired to St Albert. Stuart was a kind, creative, loving man and an amazing father. He loved to golf and travel, and also enjoyed hockey, curling, and playing the trombone.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Sturgeon Valley Golf Club, 25114 Sturgeon Road, Sturgeon County, AB.
