On April 29, 2012, Scott Bricker of St. Albert, Alberta passed away in his 87th year. He was the son of Dr. Calvin D. Bricker, Canadian Olympic champion, and Mabel Kerr. Scott is survived by his wife Alma (nee Clarkson) and his children, Debra, Scott Jr., Sandra and son-n-law Brent–semicolon– grandchildren, Bronte and Lachlan–semicolon– brother Cal Bricker as and numerous nieces and nephews. Scott served as a tail-gunner on a Lancaster bomber with the RCAF in WWII. After the war, he entered the University of Toronto where he earned a BPHE. He re-enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1948 and retired as a Major in 1975. Upon retirement, he worked for Alberta Disaster Services. A Memorial Service will be held at the St. Albert United Church, May 5 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the St. Albert United Church.
