I’m heartbroken for the loss of my “adopted niece” Sarah. I’ve known Sarah since her arrival in Canada from our homeland of Northern Ireland. She was such a kind, caring, thoughtful person, a wonderful wife, mother, daughter & sister to her family & will be deeply missed by them & hundreds of friends.

Rest well lovely lady. I’ll miss the banter we enjoyed while standing in line for morning coffee. For the family, I know nothing I say can ease your pain, but perhaps you can take comfort knowing Sarah was respected and loved by many at the Misericordia.

Sarah you came here to Canada from Ireland at an early age you grew to be a very special person who loved life most importantly your family live as a loving wife and an exceptional mother, with so much love to give. Your short life well lived well. You made the world a better place with your life of caring and sharing, your smile when you saw my ridiculous dress up on St .Patrick’s day. You loved to go back to Ireland and spread you love to all there. We hold you in our hearts precious memories shared with you Mother. My Irish favorite uncle words of wisdom (sometimes people are on loan to us in life and we learn so much from them). that is where we are now remember you your sense of fun your laughter you making faces at me when my photo was been taken at churchand now you are up there in heaven I hope didn’t take my crown with you. As I am the only queen of Ireland ever even if I’m in exile. Meeting you was the best. Seriously speaking so farewell dear and loved one we remember all. Just give me back my crown we miss you already.
RIP. Walk with the lord in peace. Amen.

Michael, Haley, Damian, Alex, Louis, Robert and Visme, I am so sorry for your loss of Sarah. My heart breaks for all of you. Sarah and I met in high school and have enjoyed her friendship since. I remember when we bought a pet rabbit and called it friendship. I have so many other fond memories of her. I know I didn’t see her often outside of work but I still considered her to be my best friend. When we did not see each other for awhile and then suddenly meet up it would be like we didn’t miss a beat. We shared many milestones together. I hold them dear to me. I am especially grateful for the support Sarah gave me over the last few difficult years. Sarah’s loving kindness and wonderful advice and wisdom helped me by just knowing she was there if I needed her. Thank-you for sharing these special times with me. Love alway Heather De Belser

My sincere condolences to the family. I had the pleasure of working with Sarah at iRSM. Her smile and sense of humour were always a great start to the day and she had jokingly nicknamed me Little-G. Beyond her wonderful presence, Sarah was a pillar for our clinic; you could always depend on her. I hope you rest in peace dear Sarah.

I’m sending healing thoughts to Sarah’s family and others that were close to her…I had the pleasure of getting to know Sarah working with her in the O.R. she always had something funny and quirky to say…I remember watching Grey’s Anatomy with her and Angela when it first came out and a shopping trip to Cross Iron Mills with her, Angela, Heather, and others…I was fortunate to have crossed her path again in November when she reminded me that she’d know my laugh anywhere…RIP Sarah your a great girl and will be missed by many! 😇🙏

    The Majorsmith family.
I was so sad to hear of Sarah’s passing. Although I didn’t know her well I had known her for 30 plus years. No matter when our paths crossed, I was treated as a long lost cousin with warmth and friendliness. Her joy of life emanated from her. She will be dearly missed in this world, and leaves an abundance of wonderful, joyful memories. May these comfort you all in the dark days ahead.
