On May 8th, 2012 Ryszard Nowak passed away, at the age of 71, in his home surrounded by his family.
He will be lovingly remembered by his surviving family members, wife Grazyna–semicolon– daughter, Natasza–semicolon– son, Mariusz–semicolon– son-in-law, Jason–semicolon– granddaughters, Kasia, Ayla and Katjana–semicolon– brothers, Zbyszek and Roman–semicolon– family and friends.
Ryszard was a hard working chemist who fought the challenges of being an immigrant in Canada to give his children the opportunities that his native Poland did not allow in 1980 when they left.
Ryszard will always be remembered for his incredible generosity, intense love for his family, love for God, zest for life, love of his dogs and fond memories of his native country Poland.
For the past two years, Ryszard bravely battled the painful cancer multiple myeloma, kidney and heart failure.
A Prayer Service will be held at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 St., Edmonton on Wednesday, May 9th, at 8:00 pm. Rev. Roman Majek, OMI will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of Poland Church, 9906 – 83rd Ave, Edmonton on May 10th at 11:00 a.m.
According to his wishes, his remains will be laid to rest by his family in his home town of Robakowo, Poland.
