May 14, 1952 ~ May 19, 2022
It is with profound sadness and hearts full of love that the Height family announces the peaceful passing of Ross Carl Height in the early morning on Thursday, May 19, 2022 in his 70th year.
Ross will be lovingly remembered as kind, funny, full of energy, and a prankster at times (in his younger years). Ross was a friend to many, and he and Jane enjoyed many travels over the years to Florida and Arizona in the winter months, and Ontario in the summers to visit family.
Ross shared a special relationship with his late father Carl. Ross, like his father, was a successful entrepreneur for many years, and worked hard to provide a good life for his family. Becoming a father and grandfather were his greatest joys in life, and he loved all of the memories and special moments he made with his son Jonathan; his daughter Rheanna; and his grandson Gavin. Ross was a fun loving, eternal optimist that would lend an ear or a hand to anyone. He was a problem solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work, around the house, and for all his friends and neighbors. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
Ross leaves behind his loving wife Jane of 47 years; his children, Jonathan (Kristen) and Rheanna (Wes); grandson, Gavin; siblings, Gordon, Nancy and Mary, and the Height, Abela, and Larkin families. He is predeceased by his mother, Barbara Ann Height (nee Wallace); father, Carl Lockman Height and mom Jessie Isobel Height (nee Mustard).
A Celebration of Life will take place Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive (Corner of St. Vital Avenue & Highway 2), St. Albert, AB, T8N 1G1. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the St. Albert Food Bank, or the Edmonton Humane Society.
Be free, be strong,
be proud of who you have been,
know that you will be mourned and missed, that no one can replace you that you have loved and are beloved.
Move beyond form, flowing like water, feeding on sunlight and moonlight, radiant as the stars in the night sky.
Pass the gates, enter the dark without fear, returning to the womb of life to steep in the cauldron of rebirth.
Rest, heal, and grow young again. Be blessed.
