It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our precious mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and special friend. Rosalie Dumont, born June 7, 1940 in St. Laurent, Manitoba, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on June 19, 2017 at the age of 77. Mom, as she was known to all will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Her special friend Len–semicolon– beloved children: Brenda (Farid), Natalie (Mike), Trevor, Robin, Dallas (Mariah), and Charlene–semicolon– adored grandchildren: Mike, Stacey, Alicia, Matthew, Danica, Tanisha, Brandon, Breanna and Ciera–semicolon– treasured great-grandchildren: Olivia, Kiona, Julian and Isabel–semicolon– siblings Roberta, Raymond (Loraine) and Charles–semicolon– best friends: Loretta and Marie, and many more family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband of 33 years, John Dumont of Holland, Parents Alexandre and Matilda of Manitoba, brother Edward and very close friend JJ who she relentlessly cared for despite her own ailing condition battling cancer.
Rosalie’s memory will be cherished for her unconditional love of all who entered her life, her welcoming smile and her kind and generous heart. Rosalie was well known for her devotion to her family and her love for life. She was well respected and loved by all of her friends in her senior’s apartment, Mountwood, and on her bowling team, where she excelled.
A viewing and celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on June 30, 2017 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Homes located at 10011 114 St, Edmonton, AB. Rosalie will be cremated and interred within a private service at the Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hope Mission who supports those in need as Rosalie always reached out to others less fortunate.
