
It is with great sadness that our family announces that on February 3, 2019 Roger Blackburn of Morinville passed away peacefully in the presence of family and embraced by Jesus at the Sturgeon Community Hospital at the age of 88 years.
He will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 61 years, Laurette, his children, Roland (Lorraine), Daniel (Sandee), Jocelyne (Brent) all of Morinville, Vivian of Red Deer, nine grandchildren, Jordan (Alysha), Joel (Dominique), Chantal (Peter), Erin (Mike), Meagan, Jenessa, Danielle, Cameron and Bryce and four great grandchildren, two brothers Julien (Irene), Leonel (Evelyn), four sisters, Lucienne, Stella (Ed), Emillien (Tom) and Georgette (Larry).
Roger was predeceased by his parents, Lucien and Clara Blackburn and his sister Emillia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, February 8, 2019 at St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church in Morinville. In lieu of flowers, please provide donations to St. Jean Baptiste Church Restoration Fund.

Our deepest condolences, we were very said to hear of Rogers passing, he was a friend for many years. We regret that we can not make it to the funeral as we are down south. I will make a point of visiting you when we get back.
