On April 25, 2011, Rita Rafter of Edmonton passed away at the age of 89 years.
Rita lived a good, healthy and independent life–semicolon– she suddenly slipped back into the hands of the Lord after having a heart attack. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family: sister, Jean Byer–semicolon– two nephews, Doug (Leeanna) Byer and Alan (Carmen) Hughes–semicolon– niece, Lynn Hughes–semicolon– as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. Rita was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy (Jack) Hughes–semicolon– brother, Thomas–semicolon– and brother-in-law, Stan.
A Celebration of Rita’s Life will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 Street, Edmonton.
