Richard Sullivan Hazen of Edmonton passed away June 16, 2012, at the age of 86 years. He was born in 1926, at Daysland, AB to parents Glen and Anna Hazen.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer: children, Maurice (Lynn) Hazen, Gail (Peter) Krenkel, Sharon Hazen, Pamela (Patrick) Yearwood, June Hazen (Tony Traﬁ–semicolon–cante), Candace (Dave) Tassone–semicolon– sixteen grandchildren, Lori, Julie, Lindsay, Jody, Karlie, Christy, Jennifer, Andrea, James, Aurie, Thai, Jordan, Lauren, Dylan, Myles, Tayt–semicolon– and fourteen great grandchildren, Erik, Branden, Caleb, Owen, Madison, Zachary, Simon, Oliver, Allison, Haley, Emma, Ethan, Maverick and Hailey. He is also survived by his sister, Grace Conarroe–semicolon– and sisters-in-law Emily Sturek and Vicki Sturek. Richard was predeceased by his parents–semicolon– infant son, Joseph–semicolon– and sister, Doris Coverdale.
Prayers will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 Street, Edmonton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 21, 11:00 a.m., at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 210 Haddow Close, SW Edmonton, (NW quadrant of Terwillegar Drive and Riverbend Road /23 Avenue). Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery, 13951 Ellerslie Road, SW Edmonton (turn south from Ellerslie Road at 141 Street).
Memorial donations may be made to the WW Cross Cancer Institute or the Rosalind Catholic Cemetery.
