LUNDEEN, Richard Clarence
Dr. Richard Clarence Lundeen of Roxanne and Arthur Lundeen passed away peacefully January 12th, 2022, at the age of 73. He is survived by his wife (Jeanne), his sister (Bonnie), his children (Jay, Anna, Thomas, Patrick, Erik), their spouses (Lori, Caitlin, Lianna, Angie), and his grandchildren (Brooke, Logan, Ayla, Cambrie, Sawyer, Callie).
Dr. Lundeen was proud to be a medical staff member at the Edmonton General Hospital, and to be a Clinical Instructor at the University of Alberta Medical School. He later joined the Grey Nuns Hospital, primarily devoting his gifts and expertise to the Outpatient Psychiatry Department. He was a dedicated psychiatrist who cared deeply for his patients and his work.
Richard was a lover of the natural world and music. You would often find him in the great outdoors, whether that be flooding his children’s backyard rink late at night, filling his bird feeders, or riding his bike through the Edmonton River Valley that he loved. His five children are great friends, and the growing family is a true legacy.
Due to the circumstances of Covid-19, a small Celebration of Life for immediate family and invited guests will be held at the Pioneer’s Cabin on January 22, 2022. Those wishing to can join a Facebook livestream. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
