
It is with profound sadness that the family of Richard Bilodeau announce his passing.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Darcy–semicolon– sons: Oliver(Renatta) and Jacob–semicolon– parents: Rhea and Jules Bilodeau: Sandy Berg and Butch and Dale Latam–semicolon– Grandma Joan Petersen–semicolon– brothers: Gilbert(Carol), Normand(Katherine), Lionel(Jennie), Marc(Kristie)–semicolon– sisters: Diane(Andy) Albas, and Jocelyne(Duane) Miller–semicolon– brothers in law: Mark(Holly), Brett(Leila), Michael and Brady Latam–semicolon– numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
He will also be dearly missed by his friends, colleagues and students at Onoway High School.
Richard was a compassionate family man with a big heart who loved life passionately. He was immensely proud of his family and took great pleasure in the many personal, educational and professional accomplishments of his boys. Richard was born in Edmonton, attended francophone schools and obtained his mechanic license from NAIT and later obtained his Education Degree from U of A.
He was a champion for the underprivileged and was genuinely invested in the success of young people. Richard enjoyed spending time at the lake boating and waterskiing, he loved traveling, photography, golfing, making wine and tinkering with motorbikes.
He will be greatly missed.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to Dr. Van Zanten and the GI team, Dr. Bigham as well as the ICU team at UAH. Your caring and support for Richard will always be remembered.
