
The family of Raymond (Ray) Sale are saddened to announce his passing on March 8/23 at 87 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Julia; children, Norma (David), Susan (Jamie), Elaine (Patrick), Laura (Greg), Karen (John); 13 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. He will also be dearly missed by his brother Norman; sisters Evelyn, and Jean and many, many nieces, and nephews.
Ray was predeceased by his father Theodore, mother Annie, brothers Adrian, George, sister Irene and in-laws Arnold, Ambrose, Alice, and Adele.
Ray was born on the family farm in Athabasca and stayed on the farm until he married Julie in 1957. Ray was a devoted father to his daughters, always ready to offer his love, support, and guidance. In his free time, he enjoyed his fruit trees and rose gardens. Ray will be remembered for his love for his family and his dedication to his daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He touched many lives and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 11 am, Saturday March 18, 2023, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 13 Brower Drive, Sherwood Park, Alberta. A private family interment will take place at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
Donations can be made to the Parkinson Association of Alberta in lieu of flowers.
