
It is with a great sadness that on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, the family announces the passing of Nick at the age of 71 years after a long battle with a terminal illness. He was born on December 8, 1943, in Split, Croatia.
Nick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Ann–semicolon– daughter, Loreana (Josip) Glamuzina–semicolon– grandchildren, Danica, Nikola and Veronika–semicolon– sisters, Nilija Lombardic and Ernita Bego–semicolon– brother-in-law, Ivo Basica–semicolon– and numerous family and friends.
He was predeceased by daughter, Otjana–semicolon– mother and father, Antonija “Tonka” and Josip–semicolon– nephews, Robert Lombardic and Dino Bego.
Nick came to Canada in 1968 and became a devoted and active member of the Croatian community, and the Church. He was the most loving father and devoted friend, sharing his bright smile everywhere he went. He will always be remembered this way.
The family wishes to thank the kind and compassionate staff at CapitalCare Norwood for their outstanding care of Nick.
A Prayer Service will take place on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street NW, Edmonton.
Reverend Franjo Visaticki will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Nativity of Mary Croatian Church, 10560 – 98 Street NW, Edmonton. Interment will follow at St. Albert Catholic Church Cemetery, 7 St. Vital Avenue, St. Albert.
