It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nikola Djurisic at the age of 80, who will be fondly remembered for being a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his loving family: wife of 49 years, Dragica–semicolon– son Rajko–semicolon– daughter Ratka–semicolon– daughter-in-law Linda and son-in-law John–semicolon– grandchildren Olivia and Ava and relatives in Montenegro. Nikola was predeceased by his parents Djuro and Gospava and his brother and two sisters.
Nikola passed away after a battle with cancer and greatly appreciated the loving support of family and friends as well as the devoted healthcare professionals who cared for him at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
A Prayer Service will be held at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 Street, Edmonton on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 7:00 pm with reception to follow.
Private family interment.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nikola’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, #201, 9452 – 51 Avenue, Edmonton, AB, T6E 5A6.
