It is with broken hearts we announce that our beloved son, Nigel Arthur Batchelor passed suddenly on Saturday, June 22, 2019, with his parents beside him. He leaves behind his parents, Nicholas and Brenda; sister Sarah; his Grandmother Phyllis Holmes; Uncles: Mark (Joanne) and Derek and Rachel, John (Sandy) and Torrin and Rhiannon, Karl (Pauline), Michael (Julie) and Chris, Brian and Scott, Doug (Cheryl) and Signy and Teagan; cousins Kyla, Thea, and Hannia.
Nigel was predeceased by his Grampy Jim Holmes; Nana Margaret Batchelor, Poppa Peter Batchelor, and Uncle Clive.
Nigel was born in London, Ontario and became best friends with his Grampy and Nana. As the family moved across the country he made friends from Chilliwack BC to Moncton NB.
Once settled in St Albert, Alberta, he completed high school, enjoying playing the trumpet in the high school band, and went on to attend Grant McEwan University. His love of games moved from DnD to LARPing (Live Action Role Playing), where he made many new friends of all types of characters.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

It still hurts three years after his passing. Nigel was one of the people I talked to the most and one of my best friends, he was always the life of whatever group we were with. I may have only known him for eight years, but he’s made a lasting impact on my life and I’ll do what I can to carry on his memory.
Dan Henry says
I want to help carry on his memory as well, we can help each other do that.
Pam says
I want to offer my condolences to the entire family, including Nigel’s aunt Judith.
Doug Vivian says
My condolences to you Nicholas and your entire family. My thoughts are with you.
