Matt leaves behind his dearly loved wife Patricia, to deeply mourn his peaceful, yet incredibly unexpected passing on Monday, March 6 2023.
He also will be greatly missed by his Canadian family of in-laws, including Linda & Don, Neil & Cheryl, and Judy & Kevin. Matt’s seven Canadian nieces & nephews, Ryan, Dustin, Genele, Brandy, Lacey, Danielle, and Brennen along with their families will miss their much loved ‘Uncle Matt’, who was always ready to tease them and make them laugh at his foolish antics.
Matt was predeceased by his cherished parents, Matthew & Teresa; and his sister-in-law, Mary, beloved wife of Phil.
Matt maintained close ties with his 25 nephews and nieces in Ireland and tried his very best to attend as many of their special occasions in Ireland as he possibly could. As their own families grew, so did Matt’s delight in the opportunity to tease even more children.
Cremation has taken place and a Funeral Liturgy will be held on March 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation 2300 Yonge Street Suite 1200 Toronto On M4P 1E4
Arrangements entrusted to Connelly-McKinley St Albert Funeral Home.
