It is with great sadness and much love that we say farewell and announce the passing of Max on October 21, 2018, of Edmonton at the age of 52.
Max was predeceased by his father, Giorgio–semicolon– mother, Caterina–semicolon– and brother, Romano.
He is survived by his son, Victor–semicolon– who he loved and cared for deeply–semicolon– as well as many relatives in Italy.
Max’s love for animals was unconditional and he always knew he wanted to become a Veterinarian. Following High School he attended the U of A and then went on to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Max used to enjoy telling the story of how he answered one of the questions that was asked of him to get into vet school–semicolon– he was to explain why he wanted to become a vet in 500 words or less, he wrote one sentence: I want to become a Veterinarian because I want to practice Veterinary medicine to help sick animals–semicolon– he would laugh.
Max received his DVM in 1992 after which he started working at a small animal medical clinic and fulfilling his dream of being a Veterinarian.
Max spent the summers as a teenager in Porto San Giorgio, Italy with his mother and brother.
Max was loved by all who had the honor of meeting and knowing him.
In lieu of Flowers a donation may be made in Max’s memory to the Edmonton Humane Society (13620 163 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5V 0B2)

I had hoped to be present with you all on Thursday, but find I am not free as I had hoped. Please know that I am thinking of you all on this sad day. Max was always so kind when we saw him as neighbours, and so good to Lucky when she needed his vet services. We are truly sad to know of his passing. Rest In Peace a Max.

I was very sad to hear of Max’s passing. He took excellent care of Grappelly, Christabel, Germaine, Bluesette, and Leila, my succession of cats from 1993 to 2016. He cared about their physical health, but would also always ask “Is she happy? Does she seem happy?” He will be missed.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Max’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with Max at Lynnwood Vet Hospital 20+ years ago, not long after he graduated from vet school. He was an energetic, passionate individual that was a joy to work with. He was a strong supporter in my corner while I myself, was trying to get into vet school. I am sure he will be missed, but may the memories that you hold close to your heart provide you comfort during moments of sadness.

Max was our neighbour on candy cane lane. I would hear him out decorating November 1. I could hear his wood stapler putting up decorations. And tons and tons of lights. It was a true delight to be out decorating our house at the same time.
My daughter was a reading partner to Victor when he was either in kindergarten or grade 1. She really liked that.
Also and last but not least Max was our veterinarian to our many cats and birds. At different times of course.
I was shocked to hear of max’s Passing.
He was a great neighbour first of all. And his big dog Lily.

Dr. Rosetti was an amazing vet who went above and beyond for his clients. I will always remember him as the most kind and understanding veterinarian. He took very special care of my sweet pup during the worst situation and made sure we were looked after. He is sorely missed. Say hi to my Little Scruffy up there Max!
