On July 19, 2022 Mary “Edna” Morris passed away peacefully at the age of 97 years. Edna is survived by her sons, Peter (Wendy), and Ron (Leslie); her son in law, Brian Symic; her grandchildren, Paul, David (Brooke), Jeff (Teresa), Chadwick, Ronnie, Basie (Ryan); and great grandchildren, Madeline, Wiley, Robert, Andrew, Darien, Colby, and Kansas. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronnie; and daughters, Shelly Symic, and Debbie Morris-Roland. Edna also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, neighbours, and friends.
Edna was born in Stettler, AB and lived most of her life in Edmonton. She and Ronnie raised their family in the Forest Heights neighborhood where they had many close friends. She loved her home and was happiest when it was filled with family and friends.
A Celebration of Edna’s Life will be held at Connelly-McKinley, 10011 114 Street NW, on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Winnifred Stewart Society or the Edmonton Humane Society would be appreciated.
Edna spent her last years at the Jubilee Lodge in Forest Heights. The family would like to thank the staff for their loving care.
