Our dear Frances passed away peacefully at the age of 101.
Frances was a great friend to many and is lovingly remembered by her cousin Lillian Wilkes (Winnipeg) and her ‘extended families’- including the members of St. Joseph’s Basilica Parish, the Catholic Women’s League, her Bridge clubs – and those of us who Frances so easily and readily ‘adopted.’
We give thanks for this woman whose grace, generosity of spirit, and zest for life inspired us. It is now our task to carry forward her legacy and live with the same integrity, courage, tenacity, fortitude, and faith with which she lived her life. Let us remember to embrace each other as Frances welcomed and embraced us.
Sincere thanks to Frances’ most recent ‘family’ – the staff of Butterfly Meadows at St. Joseph’s Hospital and to Dr. Bish Chrzanowski – for their compassionate care and faith-filled service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Frances may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

We are saddened to hear of Frances\’ passing. We enjoyed getting to know her at St. Joseph\’s; her positive spirit and kindness were inspiring. Unfortunately we will not be back in Edmonton in time to attend her funeral. Our condolences to Laura and her many friends.
