Mary Biddle

Biddle Mary edited

It is with great sadness and heartbreak that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother, nana, great-nana, wife, sister and friend, Mary Biddle, of St. Albert, Alberta, on April 12, 2022 at the age of 79 years.  We are grateful for her peaceful passing with family by her side.

Mary will be greatly missed and forever remembered by her loving husband Len of 58 years; her son Stephen (Desiree) of St. Albert; her daughter Jacqui (Ken) of Edmonton; her much cherished grandchildren Jessica (Elton), Daniel (Julia), Shaelynn and Christopher and her great-granddaughters Lily and Tessa; twin sister Joan (George) Potter of Reading, England, brother Norman Boyd of Reading, England, many adored nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Winnifred and Stanley Boyd of Reading, England.

She will be remembered for her generous and caring nature and never-ending love for her family.  Her family were her pride and joy.  She was a role model to everyone who knew her to never give up and enjoy and live life to its fullest.  Her positivity, strength, courage, determination and perseverance were truly inspirational.

In keeping with Mary’s wishes, there will be no funeral.  A celebration of life will be held by immediate family and close friends at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton, Alberta.

Though her smile is gone forever and her hand we cannot touch, still we have so many memories of the one we loved so much.  Her memory is our keepsake which we’ll never part. God has her in his keeping, we have her in our hearts.

My deepest condolences go out to the whole family. Mary was a very special lady. I will remember her for her enthusiasm and love of life. There was nothing more important to her than her family. I have no doubt she is leading the party and dancing non stop in heaven as we speak.

Jacquie, as you mourn the loss of your special mom, may you find strength in all of your wonderful memories that you had together as a family. Mom/Nana will never be far from your hearts. Your Mom was definitely a Spunky Firecracker. Mary was always laughing and having so much fun at the get togethers when we were at your house parties. You were all so lucky to have this Special Lady in your lives, she was a GEM! Our thoughts are with you all during this most difficult time.

For many years, we have lived in the same condo building as Mary and Len. We always appreciated Mary’s cheery greetings whenever we met her in the building. Mary was a great support to her condo neighbors and was always there to help with an activity. We will miss her.
Our condolences to Len and family.

    Dear Len,

We were very sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. Grief never ends…but it changes. It’s a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, or a lack of faith. It is the price of love. Death takes the body. God takes the soul. Our minds hold the memories, our hearts keep the love. Our faith lets us know we will meet again.

    With fond memories,
    Paul & Linda Wiggins
