1930 – 2022
It is with deep sadness and much love that the family of Margaret King (nee Frank) announces her passing on Sunday, March 20th, 2022, at 92 years of age. Mom had a very peaceful passing, with Rose Marie at her side, holding her hand.
Margaret will always be remembered by her ever-loving husband, Martin; and their four children: Rose Marie (Mark) Smithies, Allen (Kathy), Paul (Linda), and Gerald. Mom also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Erika-Lee (Brian), Landon, Dustin, and Randi; a great-granddaughter, Aria; and her dear sister, Rosa Campbell; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, her St. Joseph’s Family, and her Wedman House Family. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Brigetta Frank; brother, George Frank, and sister, Anne Froment.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Assumption Catholic Church (9034 95th Avenue) on Friday, April 8th, at 11:00 AM. A sharing of memories, slide presentation, and refreshments will follow downstairs after the church service.
Our heartfelt thanks and gratitude go out to everyone at Wedman House, for her seven-and-a-half years there, and to St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital during Mom’s last eight months: Thank you to every one of you that loved and cared for Mom so much. We are truly grateful.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Margaret may be made to St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital, Room360, 11111 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta, T5K 0L4 or Wedman House, 10525 19 Ave NW, Edmonton, Alberta, T6J 6X9.

So sorry for your loss. Will always remember auntie Margaret as a quiet, gentle soul. Loved her quiet little chuckle that reminded me so much of grandma Frank! Rest In Peace auntie.

Sending condolences to you Martin and family. My memory of Margaret is of course seeing the three sisters together at all family gatherings. Very quiet and loving person. Always had a soft spot for Margaret for her career and mine were the same.
Rest In Peace.

Dear Martin, Gerald, Rosa and family;
Glen and I are remembering Margaret and your family and praying for you all.
I am afraid that we are unable to attend Margaret’s funeral as we are still limiting our contact with others. I am the primary contact for my 85 year old mother.
May God be with you.
