
It is with great sadness that the family announces that on October 23, 2014, Jean Butterfield passed away suddenly, at the age of 68 years, from a stroke as a result of complications from cancer.
She will be lovingly remembered by her family, husband of 43 years, Rick–semicolon– 2 sons, Brad (Erin) and Trevor (Lindsey)–semicolon– 4 grandchildren, Madeline, Kellen, Quinn and Blaire–semicolon– 2 sisters and 1 brother–semicolon– Joan (Gerry) Marshall-Neufeld, Jamie Marshall (friend, Julie Stephens) and Terry (Bob) Stirling–semicolon– as well as numerous extended family and many dear friends.
Jean was predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret.
The family wishes to thank the staff on the Intensive Care Unit 3C3 at the University of Alberta Hospital and the staff at the Cross Cancer Institute for their care and compassion for Jean during her time with them.
Keeping with Jean’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Jean’s Life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
