Our beloved husband and father, Marcus Alphonsus Walsh passed away on March 13, 2018. With his wisdom, wit, dignity and unconditional love, he taught us all how to live. He will continue to live on in his wife, children, family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Julia–semicolon– children, Keegan, Molly and Joseph–semicolon– sister Maureen (William) and Meagan (Peter)–semicolon– Julia’s parents, who thought of him as their own son–semicolon– numerous nieces, nephews, a loving extended family and many special friends.
Marcus was predeceased by his parents Al and Shirley Walsh.
Father Stefano Penna will celebrate a Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9830 – 148 Street, Edmonton. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In honor of Marcus’s favorite day – St. Patrick’s Day, feel free to wear something green.

Dear Julia,
Mary & I are so sad to hear of your loss of Mark. He was the kindest, loving and funniest guy I know. I’ve known Mark for over 35 years and we’ve golfed 100’s of rounds of golf together and he alway’s made me smile and laugh. It broke my heart to hear of this terrible loss but I know in my heart he is smiling down at us saying, I’m ok, be possitive and I love you all so much. Please take care of youself julia and we will see you this summer.
Sincerely,
Rick & Mary Bordian

Dear Julia,
I learned of Marcus’s passing over the weekend and just wanted to let you know that we are all thinking of you and your family. Given what an upbeat, lovely and beautiful! lady you are (both inside and out) we know he would have been a fantastic man. Life is not fair, but I suspect you experienced pure love and joy with him, and that is something that will never be extinguished. You and your children are his living legacy and testimony to his love. You are a brave, strong woman and he was very lucky to have you by his side in this lifetime.
Sincerest condolences to all of you in this time of grief.
