Gobeil, Marcellin Réal “Marcel”
November 11, 1941 – December 10, 2020
On December 10, 2020, Marcellin Gobeil of the Beaumont area passed away peacefully from cancer with family by his side. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 55 years, Juliette, and their children: Bernard (Francine) with grandchildren, Sophie and Jérôme, Brigitte (Glenn) Lesko with grandsons, Zachary and Kyle, Jacqueline (Don) Vallée with grandsons, Matthew (Kayla) and Gregory, Marc (Yvette) with grandsons, Alexander and Eric. Also surviving are his siblings: Laurier (Annette), Olive (Méderic Juneau), France (Don Lowe); and sisters-in-law, Anita, Régina, Thérèse and numerous relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents and siblings: Ernest, Angéline, Roger, Laurent, Dollard, Régina and Ovila.
Marcel was born and raised in the Beaumont area where he remained on the homestead until his last days.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a private Funeral Mass will be celebrated with interment at St. Vital Catholic Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations can be made in Marcellin’s name to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
The family extends a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Michael Chu, his team and the staff at Station 40 at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton for their care and compassion.
