Peacefully and surrounded by her family and following a lengthy battle with renal failure,
Lourdes Macaspac of Calgary, Alberta passed away on June 21, 2022 at the age of 71 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, Carlos; children: Caryl (Alex)and Julie (John); grandchildren: Alexis, Ciera, Sasha and CJ; sisters, Lydia Domingo, Irene Yap, Tessie (Ferdie) Dequina, Mila Rodriguez and Liz (Jun) Caindec.
She will also be dearly missed by her friends and staff of the Fanning Centre 3 East. She was predeceased by her parents Rosalia Cruz and Joaquin Rodriguez.
Lulu was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. She later moved to Canada to reunite with her mom and sisters. Lulu settled in Whitecourt, Alberta where she raised her two daughters with her husband Carlos and she became an active part of the growing Filipino community. She moved to Calgary in 2014 where she spend a lot of her time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass with visitation one hour prior will be Celebrated at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at St. Albert Catholic Parish, 7 St Vital Ave.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to Dr. Sofia Ahmed, Dr. Lauw and the staff at the Fanning Centre 3 East for their excellent care and compassion.
