Cherished by her family and all who knew her, Lina’s prayers for a peaceful, holy death were answered shortly before her 94th birthday. Ever remembered and forever loved by her family: Marieta (Douglas), Diana (John), Walter (Jeannine) and Gerard (Patti)–semicolon– twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren–semicolon– sister, Yvonne and brother, Gerard (Juliette)–semicolon– sisters-in-law: Irene, Thelma (Joe), Agnes and Evelyn and a large extended family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter and by her siblings: Romeo, Exilda, Mathilda, Emilinda and Dianne.
Lina grew up near Villeneuve, and she and Walter farmed near Riviere Qui Barre for 50 years. They moved to St. Andrew’s Center, Edmonton in 2004, and to Youville Home in 2008. Lina will be remembered for her deep faith and trust in the Lord, her love of family and farming, her warm hospitality, her gentleness, patience, sense of humor, bright eyes and beautiful smile, and her profound sense of gratitude.
Benoit Cayer says
To all the Boddez family, Marieta, Diana, Walter and Gerard, I want to say to all of you my sympathy for the list of your parents a while ago.
I also have lost my parents (mother in 2009 and father 2014). Good bless all of you and I keep very good memories of your family and Riviere qui barre. Benoit Cayer from Quebec
