Lillie McIsaac (nee Clark) passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Southgate Care Centre in Edmonton at the age of 92 years.
She will be greatly missed by her family: daughters Patricia (Donald Turner) of Silver Valley and Karen (Cameron Cripps) of Calgary–semicolon– sons Roderick (Shirely Paraluman) of Dawson City, Eugene (Bonnie Sweetapple) of Valleyview, and Duncan (Suzie Hébert) of Bruderheim–semicolon– grandchildren Jeremy, Jennifer, Daniel, Steven, Jude and Angelo–semicolon– great-grandchildren Jordan and Kiyla. Lillie was predeceased by Colin, her loving husband of 38 years.
Lillie was a loving, devoted mother and skilled homemaker, a master of thrift and self-sufficiency in her household. She taught by example and made certain that her children learned practical skills and received post-secondary educations. Lillie was an active volunteer throughout her life. She belonged to the CWL, helped run a Wolf Cub pack, donated many of her knitted items to charity, and she and her husband, Colin (deceased), gave many years of volunteer service to the Edmonton Emergency Relief Services Society. In her quiet way, Lillie maintained long-term connections with many friends, and she loved the travelling and socializing that she did in her senior years while living in Edmonton.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, 10004 – 101 Street, Fort Saskatchewan on Friday, March 13, 2015, at 11:00 a.m.
