My deepest condolences to the Davies Family.
I will never forget Lace. He was my best buddy in high school. We talked about everything. We would sit in the cemetery and talk for hours. We would just go for walks around town. When he got his car the Duster, well we went on a joy ride. That car went through every farmers field there was around Morinville. We even backed into the Zoo a few times and put a hole in the building. He was the guy with the money cause he was working at the Red Rooster and he graciously shared his car and money with everyone. He was free spirted for sure. I absolutely loved that about Lace. And he always had that big smile with a tilted head that could melt anyone’s heart. When my daughter met him for the first and only time when she was 15 she fell in love with him. And he made her laugh so hard with his jokes and his amazing imitation of celebrities. Lace could make me laugh all the time. He taught me to be kind, giving, talk out my problems and most of all to laugh at myself. Almost every story of my high school years had Lace in them. My heart is broken when I was told that Lace had passed away. His passing touches so many people and much further then anyone could imagine. He will be greatly missed by anyone who has ever met him. Wherever you are now Lace I hope you know that you were loved so very much by so many people. RIP my good friend, I will always miss you. Clare (Boogieworm)…nobody could say my nickname like you did Lace.

I’m so incredibly sorry to hear of Lace’s passing.
Like everyone, I’m sure, I was gutted when I heard.
I loved him so much… he was a wonderful friend.
I knew Lace way back in the 80’s. We met at the drug store, where we both worked. We had a really great crew and had a lot of fun working and playing together.
Lace and his partner Dan, and my roomy Vivien and I, all ended up living in this big house in East Vancouver, that was divided up into several suites.
I walked into their place one day after a Dr. Appt, to announce that I was pregnant, and as a single woman, I was a little freaked. Dan and Lace were so excited and made me feel so much better.
I made them my daughter’s Godfathers. They were both at the hospital when I gave birth, and the first to hold her. It was truly, the best of times.
Lace and Dan made my life so much better. Lace was sweet and kind and funny and I absolutely adored him. The world was a better place with him in it.
Lace was just not the same after Dan passed. They were just such a wonderful couple.
I know they’re together again now, and I can just imagine both of their joyful faces upon reuniting up there in Heaven. Their gain, is our huge loss..
I know a lot of time has past since I’ve seen you, but I love you Lace, forever and always.
You will be missed.
