It is with profound sadness that the family of Kevin Daniel Van Nes announces his sudden and tragic passing at 29 years of age.
He is survived by his parents, Terry and Peggy–semicolon– sisters, Patti (Jacques), Kim (Nazz)–semicolon– nephews, Jacob and Caleb–semicolon– nieces, Kathryn and Aliyah–semicolon– grandmother, Pamela, aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
Kevin graduated from Grant McEwan Technical Theatre Program and became a long time employee of FM Systems. He also pursued his passion for music as a DJ (aka: DJ KVN) at a local after hours club.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, 125 Larose Drive, St. Albert on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.

I only knew Kevin for a few years and we were aquainted through one of his friends. While I never met any of you, his family, I have to say how heavy this news was. I, probably like most people, were just absolutely floored.
I am so sorry and cannot imagine. Kevin was so smart.
