April 20, 1956 – August 27, 2020
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of a gentle and loving man, Kenneth “Ken” Graham Johnson, of Edmonton, Alberta on August 27, 2020, at the age of 64 years. Ken passed away in the hospital with his wife and daughters at his side after managing many health problems over the years.
Born on April 20, 1956 to parents George and Mabel Johnson, Ken was the fifth child in a family of six children. As a young man, Ken enjoyed playing baseball and hockey, as well as taking road trips on his motorcycle with his friends. He married his darling wife Crestina in January 1993 with whom he raised two daughters, Julia and Kathryn. Ken cared about his family deeply and showed his affection through all the small things he did at home. In recent years, Ken enjoyed spending time cozied up with the family dog, watching his favourite sitcoms and discovering travel destinations through Youtube. He was an excellent listener with a love for people and a generous heart.
Ken will be lovingly remembered by his wife and daughters; brothers, Bob (Shirley) and George; sisters, Kathy (Rob) and Phyllis (Brian); nieces Jolene (Mike), Erin (Tyler), Camille and Grace (Graham); and grand nephews and nieces Jack, Emery, Seth, and Sloane. Ken was predeceased by his mother, father, and brother Douglas.
We would like to thank the staff of Unit 54 of the Grey Nuns Hospital for their compassionate care and support for Ken and the family during his final hospitalization.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a visitation at Connelly-Mckinley Edmonton South Funeral Chapel on September 14th from 5:30 pm -7 pm. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family funeral will be held at the Resurrection Catholic Church on September 15, 2020.
