It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Joseph Robert Albert Chretien, of Spruce Grove on March 8th, 2021, at the age of 76 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 29 years, Dorothee; children: David (Brenda) Smyr and family, Tina (Ron) Smith, Pamela (Tim) Khober, Valerie Houston, Shane (Tanya) Woloschuk, Troy (Crystal) Chretien, Christopher Desjarlais, Derek Barton, Cheyenne Barton; grandchildren: Cody (Sammie) Smith, Jessie Smith, Triston Smith, Aaron Smith, Teagan Woloschuk, Savannah Chretien, Tyson Chretien, Isabelle Chretien, Emma Chretien, Trey Chretien, Jlyn Dickson, Evan Khober; great-grandchild: Addison Smith; brother: George (Connie) Chretien; sisters: Georgette (Clem) Brisson, Annette Couture; foster brothers: Lenard (Wanda) Ross, Robert (Jane) Flett; foster sisters: Theresa Forest and Doreen Chipchar; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his brother, Laurier Chretien; his parents: Albert and Jeanne Chretien and brother-in-law, John Couture.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Leduc Community Hospital, Devon General Hospital (Homecare) and the University of Alberta Hospital for their care and compassion.
