Those waves of grief come sometimes when we expect them and also sometimes when we least expect them. I hope the happy memories will comfort you today and always.
Jack was a dear friend when I first moved to Edmonton from Regina. Spent a lot of time with him and his roommates. A very kind and thoughtful person who I will always cherish his friendship.
Deepest condolences to Maria, children, grandchildren and family.
    RIP MY DEAR FRIEND

Maria – we send our sincerest sympathy to you and your family. While we haven’t known you and John as long as some, we enjoyed his good humour and fun since we moved to Sanderson 5 years ago. From his grand entrances to our weekly Happy Hour with “appie to share” under his arm to his white Chef’s hat and apron and big knife dispensing a wonderful piece of beef he’d prepared for one of our special events or just sharing one of his stories or jokes that brought laughter to all, including himself — John will be sorely missed. He was a mentor to us wine-making beginners and a fine wine-locker mate, even if we did get robbed! We’ll miss his laughter from your patio below but we’ll think of him often. Please know we’re here if you need a hand. Sincerely, Gord and Jan

    Maria and Family,

I knew that John was going to be walking through the valley, Psalms 23, and I was praying for him through this time. I also am praying for you and family. I believe that John will be in the house of the Lord forever and enjoying the feast prepared for him.
This week I have reflected on the many lunches and times we had working together. They were the good old days! John will be missed.

    Dear Family,
As a NAIT classmate and then roommate with Jack, I remember the fun times and fellowship that developed. He was caring and ensured all were looked after.
    Eternal rest grant onto him.
