John Dirk of Edmonton passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 84 years.
John is survived by wife Lena, of 62 years–semicolon– five children, Deara, Gary (Anna), Rita, Debbie (Tom), James (Maureen)–semicolon– eight grandchildren–semicolon– and three great-grandchildren.
Also to cherish his memory is sister Ann Deis–semicolon– great uncle John Dirk–semicolon– extended family and many friends. He is predeceased by brothers Mike and Danny–semicolon– sister Lydia–semicolon– and daughter Shirley Marie.
A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 7:00 pm at Connelly-Mckinley Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street, Edmonton, AB.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 11:00 am at Annunciation Catholic Church, 9420-163 Street, Edmonton, AB.
A private family interment of the urn will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
