
Hannah passed away peacefully on December 15, 2014, at the age of 89 years, surrounded by loved ones.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret (Flynn) Heffernan–semicolon– and her twelve siblings.
Hannah was born in Onoway on May 11, 1925, graduated as a nurse in 1948, and worked up north in Norman Wells. She later settled in Westlock raising a family with husband, John Murphy, who predeceased her in 1982.
She is dearly loved and sadly mourned by children, Conor, Kevin (Janet), Shauna (Greg) Vander Well,Brendan, and Martin–semicolon– lovingly remembered by grandchildren, Kaleb, Shea, and Neall–semicolon– Amanda, Melinda (Sean), Elizabeth (Sean), Byron, Evan, and Emily–semicolon– Hannah and Kieran–semicolon– as well as great-grandchildren, Rachel, Xavier, Zoe and Jordan–semicolon– and numerous family members and friends.
A tribute to Hannah’s life will be held at Prayers on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 Street, Edmonton. A celebration of her entry into eternal life, with Mass of Christian Burial, will take place on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10020 – 100 Avenue, Westlock. Reverend Patrick Murphy will be officiating.
Hannah was lovingly cared for by the exceptional staff at Good Samaritan Southgate Care Centre in Edmonton. The family’s sincere gratitude is extended to those working on the 3rd Floor–semicolon– on Hannah’s behalf, we thank you for your dedication and service.
