It is with heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Janet on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the age of 69 years.
She will be forever loved and remembered by her daughter, Christine (Ron) McLean Sleger–semicolon– three sisters, Chloe (Daryl), Penny, Patricia (Denis)–semicolon– one brother, Mervin (Lorraine)–semicolon– nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Janet was predeceased by her mother, Winifred and father, Gustave Gusek.
Following Janet’s wishes, cremation will take place and no formal service will be held at this time.

As President of the Edmonton Rug Hooking Guild, I would like to offer our sincere condolences. She was a great friend, rug hooker, instructor and inspiration to many members. Over the years she contributed in various roles to the Guild, including President, and is/will be fondly missed.

I am very saddened to hear of Janet’s passing. I have known her through her work as a Standardized Patient at MacEwan University. I personally worked with her and she was a lovely, happy and positive influence to all around her. I will miss our chats and her sense of humor.
