Jim “Jimmy” was born on in Willingdon, Alberta to Anne and Mike Pelechytik.
He was predeceased by his Dad “Gido” Mike Pelechytik, and brother Lenard.
He is survived by his Mom “Baba” Annie Pelechytik; daughter Amber (Brad); son Leonard (Candice); his grandchildren: Chase, Sara, Sophie, Quinn and Owen; siblings Wayne (Lindsey), Ken (Sylvia), Sharon (Karl), Mike and Brian (Evelyne), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dad will always be remembered by his gigantic heart, sense of humor, sarcasm, and willingness to help everyone around him – especially his family. He always put everyone else first. He loved being around family & friends and looked forward to holidays, birthdays and Sunday’s for supper at Baba’s. We will always miss your chicken soup and lazy cabbage rolls!
He was the best son, dad, brother, uncle, Gido and friend to many! We are all going to miss you so much and our hearts are broken, but now left with fond memories that will remain forever.
A private service will be held at a later date.

It was a shock to hear of
Jim’s passing.
I met Jim in the late 90’s when I began selling paint to him & over the years we had become good friends. In 2010 I was transferred to Manitoba but we still kept in touch. We talked at least once a month & Jim clued me into all the happenings in Edmonton. Whenever I came back to Edmonton, Jim always made time for me. My wife & I even went to Baba’ for Sunday supper.
Sadly I am going to miss our phone calls.
You were a super good friend, so Rest in Peace buddy.
