On March 25, 2013, Iva “Draga” Ivancic passed away surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with Cancer.
Iva will be lovingly remembered by her children, Damir (Angela) Ivancic and Ivana (Owen) Ivancic-Barry–semicolon– grandchildren, Amelie, Tristan, Gwyneth and Oliver–semicolon– sisters, Maja (Ivica) Munitic and Nevenka Jelicic–semicolon– numerous family and many treasured friends throughout Canada and Croatia.
Iva was predeceased by her loving husband Aljosa Ivancic–semicolon– father Filip Bocina–semicolon– mother Anica “Anka” Mijic–semicolon– and stepfather Ante Mijic.
A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2013 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street, Edmonton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Nativity of Mary Croatian Church, 10560–98 Street, Edmonton.

My Condolences to Ivana and Demir. Your mother to me was my best friend and she will be greatly missed. She was the only person I know who was never jealous of other successes and always wish everyone well. She wanted the best for her family and was always working towards that. She loved her grandchild and would always tell me stories about them when ever we talked on the phone. I have been told that God only takes the good ones, but I wish he would of left this one behind..
