Ilene’s kindness and courage will be missed by all who knew her.
Her life will continue to be celebrated by sisters, Marguerite, Marion, and Frances–semicolon– brother, Lyle–semicolon– and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Ilene was predeceased by her companion, Eilean Hatch–semicolon– father, Henry–semicolon– mother, Eva–semicolon– brothers, Earl and Elmer–semicolon– sisters-in-law, Bertha, Dorothy, and Jean–semicolon– brothers-in-law, Bill and Norm.
In 1942, Eileen graduated from nursing school. As a nurse, she spent time in Bermuda and in Edmonton Hospitals. Ilene then moved into industrial health services with the Great Western Garment Company (G. W. G.) until her retirement in 1984.
She enjoyed camping and travelling.
At Ilene’s request, a memorial service was not held.
She was returned to Ontario and interred near her parents. Ilene’s family encourages friends, colleagues, and relatives to celebrate and remember Ilene’s life at a time and place, and in a manner of their own choosing.
